hughes2Elder Hughes is a Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley where he has worked for over 30 years as a Financial Advisor. He currently has his series 7, 63, and 65 registrations, is licensed in Health, Life, Annuity and Long Term Care Insurance, and advises for private investors and corporations.

Elder Hughes is active in the community and his church Greater Pentecostal Temple where he serves as an Associate Pastor and Trustee . Bishop Marvin E. Donaldson is his Pastor and Father in the gospel . It was under his preaching and teaching where he was filled with the Holy Spirit and ordained by the PAW to preach and teach the gospel . Elder Hughes has held many positions in the church including usher , deacon , and Sunday School Teacher.  He currently teaches for Aeon Bible College at the Kansas City, Missouri extension.  Elder Hughes was the Treasurer of the Northwestern District Council Men’s Ministry for two terms and also served as the NWDC Men’s President for two terms.  He served as the Treasurer of the IMMA of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World for two term’s under the leadership of Suffragan Bishop Roscko Motes.

He is actively involved with civic organizations such as UNCF United Negro College Fund Advisory Board for Kansas City , Urban Financial Service Coalition , and the Kansas City Black Achievers Society . Elder Hughes has also served on the Kansas City Mayor’s Task Force on Race Relations, the Urban League’s Top Notch Board, and currently the National Advisory Board for Diversity Improvement at Morgan Stanley.

Elder Tommie R. Hughes was born and raised in Indianapolis , Indiana where he attended Christ Temple Apostolic Church . Elder Hughes is third generation Pentecostal . He attended Indiana University . Elder Hughes now lives in Shawnee, Kansas with his wife of 28 years, Patricia. Elder Hughes is the proud father of four children Ninesha, Kristin, Bree, and Thomas Trevor.
